Salesforce.com, Inc. is a US cloud computing company headquartered in San FranciscoCalifornia. Though its revenue comes from a customer relationship management (CRM) product, Salesforce also sells commercial applications of social networking through acquisition and internal development.

In June 2004, the company’s initial public offering was listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the stock symbol CRM and raised US$110 million. Since the beginning of last year, shares have more than doubled and is not showing any signs of slowing down. The recent announcement of their plan to invest more than $2.5 billion over the next five years to fuel the growth of its UK business is sure to have a positive effect on its stock price.
