Salesforce Product and Service Notifications

One of the many great things about Salesforce as a company is that they provide transparency and visibility of their system status, security and performance to EVERYONE.

If you navigate to https://status.salesforce.com/ (probably worth bookmarking this page as well!) you will be able to view the current Salesforce system status, any known issues and any planned maintenance windows.

If you now click on the Instance hyperlink, you will be taken to the Status & Maintenance page for your Instance/Domain. From here you will be able to navigate between the Current Status, History and Maintenances tab to view details relevant to the Instance.

There is a very useful feature of being able to Subscribe to the Instance and be kept notified of any issues.

Maintenances

When viewing the Maintenances tab, there are hyperlinks for any historic or future maintenance periods.

If you click on one of these hyperlinks, you will then be able to review the Maintenance Information to understand the exact reason for any downtime – this will help you if you are required to communicate the reasons for any outages to key stakeholders or clients.
