Provar Success Community
If you are aware of the Salesforce Test Automation Tool – Provar then you may already be aware of the Provar Success Community that is available to all Provar Users and provides the ability to raise any Cases for assistance or requests, contact Provar Support and now also allows access to Provar Essentials.
Provar Releases
Within the Provar Success Community, the User can easily review the historical and current Provar Releases using the Available Release List. If you wish to keep on top of the latest updates and functionality then the Provar Release Notes are also able to be viewed by clicking on the relevant url and the User is advised if the release is a mandatory or optional release.
University of Provar
Included in the Success Community is access to the University of Provar, where I was hoping to enhance my knowledge by registering for the Provar Essentials Trail. I was eager to see what this trail included and to become Provar Certified as soon as possible.
Provar Essentials
The Provar Essentials Trail has recently been launched and made available to a number of Provar Customers, and is due to be opened to the wider community in the coming months. It also contains over 7 hours of training ranging from setting up the Provar to Test Design Best Practices, Creating your first Provar Test Case through to more advanced topics such as Data Driven, Callable Test Cases and Salesforce API Testing.
With Best Practices, help documentation, videos and hands-on challenges, Provar have really put a lot of thought and effort into the course and with the a quiz at the end of each module, and knew that my knowledge was going to be tested to ensure that I was ready to move to the next section.
Although, I had previously used Provar, and used the Support content on their site to help with any issues I may have encountered, there was a whole host of functionality and best practices that I simply was unaware of or had even considered. From using more of the Test Palette, or the Auto Cleanup (to remove created records after the Connection is closed) to setting Values at the beginning of a test case and using the grouping of steps to make my test cases more readable. The amount of thought and effort that has gone into creating this trail is amazing and is a huge help to both new and existing Provar Users.

Even once you have completed the Provar Essentials Trial, you are still able to access the content and review the videos when you wish, this has been great help when I have been trying to look at implementing best practices as well as more efficient test cases.
If you have access and are yet to take the #ProvarChallenge then I would definitely recommend take the Provar Essential certification, it will really help you to skill-up and implement Salesforce Test Automation within your company.
