The Definition of SCRUM

Scrum is a framework which allows people to address complex issues. Teams can keep their productivity high and their creativity flowing delivering fantastic products with the highest possible quality and value.

Scrum is Lightweight, simple to get to grips with, but can be pretty hard to master at times.

Scrum is not and should not be described as a process, technique, or definitive method. We should treat and use Scrum as a framework where we can use many different processes and techniques. We will be digging deeper into some of these areas throughout the QAForce Scrum series.

Scrum is Clear

Scrum makes clear the desired results of your Product Owner and urges you to continuously improve the product using some of the techniques the framework describes some of these are focused on the team specifically, and others on the working environment.

The Scrum Framework

The Scrum framework consists of Scrum Teams and their associated roles, events, artefacts, and some crucial rules. Each component within the framework serves a specific purpose and is essential to Scrum’s success and usage.

It is very important to outline what Scrum means to you as a team before starting your first sprint, as we have mentioned above, Scrum is a framework where you can use and adapt various and many process. It is not a strict methodology. So, get together as a team in sprint 0 and really talk through what it means to you.
